
Morgan Smith began her career in New York City as an original Off-Broadway cast member in Julianne Moore’s critically acclaimed Freckleface Strawberry, earning both Outer Critics Circle and Lucille Lortel Award nominations. During her time in New York, she appeared in numerous stage productions alongside Broadway luminaries including Rebecca Luker, Alice Ripley, and Lillias White before gaining national recognition as the
star of Wendy’s widely popular “Now That’s Better” campaign. Over the four-year run of the campaign, she appeared in more than 200 national commercials across television, radio, and print.
Smith went on to star as Candi Caruso in HBO’s Emmy Award–winning comedy Veep (Seasons 5–6), as series regular Shelby Fox opposite Craig T. Nelson in NBC’s reboot of Coach, and as Agent Alison Rhymer opposite Michelle Monaghan in Netflix’s political drama Messiah.
Her additional television credits include 9-1-1 (FOX), Boardwalk Empire (HBO), Why Women Kill (CBS), How I Met Your Father (Hulu), Manhattan Love Story (ABC), and Love in the Time of Corona (Freeform).
Morgan recently wrapped production on the feature film Babies, directed by Lauren Miller Rogen and starring Seth Rogen and Anna Kendrick. She is currently in pre-production on the independent feature The Yella Deli, which she is both creative producing
and starring in.
In addition to her work on screen and stage, Morgan is the co-founder of The Front of House, a contemporary workwear brand reimagining the modern workforce wardrobe through bespoke design and outfitting services.
She is a proud member of SAG-AFTRA and Actors’ Equity Association.
